Sky Road Level Crossing Removal

Description
As part of the project to remove 50 of Victoria’s most dangerous and congested level crossings, the Level Crossing Removal Authority joined with Metro Trains Melbourne, KBR and John Holland as a program alliance to deliver the North Western Program of works.
Comacon provided John Holland with a Communications Consultant at short notice to assist with the Alliance works on the Skye/Overton Road level crossing removal and the new Frankston Station improvement works.
Approach
During this short-term placement, our Consultant delivered key services including:
· developing and fostering an effective working relationship between the relevant internal and external cross-agency teams to ensure an integrated approach to communication and community and stakeholder engagement
· leading and supporting the communication team to deliver an integrated communication campaign to change the behaviour of thousands of train and road users
· providing strategic advice on project issues, developing, managing and implementing engagement and issues management strategies in consultation with senior management including the project manager, Deputy Director of Communication and other internal teams.
